PHILADELPHIA - The 2009-10 college basketball season has officially arrived with the beginning of preseason practices on Friday, Oct. 16. The Penn men's and women's teams began practices in preparation for their first games,
The men -- led by fourth-year John R. Rockwell Head Coach of Men's Basketball, Glen Miller -- will play their first game on Friday, Nov. 13 at Penn State against the 2009 NIT champion Nittany Lions.
The women -- under first-year head coach Mike McLaughlin, the fastest coach to 400 wins in NCAA women's basketball history -- will tip off Sunday, Nov. 15 with a game at 2009 Colonial Athletic Association champion Drexel.
