PHILADELPHIA -Senior attacker Tory Bensen was added to the Tewaaraton Award watch list today, making it a total of three University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse players in the running for the sport's top honor.
Bensen leads the Quakers -- and Ivy League in goals with 26 this season. Her 29 points are also tied for the team lead.
"These players have been recognized for their outstanding play during the 2015 season, said Jeff Harvey, Chairman of The Tewaaraton Foundation. “They have the attention of the top coaches and are added to the mix of those that will be considered for the game’s top Award."
Bensen joins Lucy Ferguson and Meg Markham on the Tewaaraton Award watch list. Both Ferguson and Markham are making their second appearance on the Tewaaraton Award watch list. Last season, the duo advanced to the group of 25 official nominees for the prestigous honor.
