Busler and Dampier Earn CSFL Player of the Week Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Penn's sprint football quarterback Todd Busler was named the CSFL's Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate Colin Dampier was honored as Defensive Player of the Week for Week 1 of the 2009 season.

Busler, of Longport, N.J., led his team to an impressive 20-14 win over Cornell. Throwing for 266 yards, the sophomore also produced three touchdowns, as he rushed for two and threw another to Mike Bagnoli. Busler directed a Penn offense that held the ball for nearly 17 minutes more than Cornell.

Leading the Quaker defense, Dampier, a junior from Princeton Junction, N.J., had two interceptions in Penn's victory over the Big Red. He is the first player in the CSFL to record multiple interceptions this season. One of the two picks came in the fourth quarter and helped clinch Penn's first win of the season.

For Week 2, the Quakers take on Princeton Friday at 7 p.m. on Franklin Field
