PHILADELPHIA - For the second time this season, Penn sprint football's Todd Busler and Raiam Santos have been honored by the Collegiate Sprint Football League as players of the week. Busler earned Offensive Player of the Week, while Santos received Special Teams Player of the Week.
Busler, the sophomore quarterback, put together an incredible performance in Penn's 35-26 loss to Army. Throwing for 429 yards, Busler produced the top passing performance in the CSFL this season. He finished 27-for-42 and threw two touchdown passes, with one going for 76 yards. Busler's performance came despite a strong Army pass rush, as he was sacked six times.
Junior kicker Santos kept Penn close in the loss to Army. Santos was 4-for-4 on his field goal attempts against the Black Knights with one of the kicks coming from 45-yards out. Santos also connected on a 40-yarder. In addition, Santos punted four times, including a 48-yarder and another pinning Army inside the 20.
In week 5 of play, the Quakers host Cornell Friday at 7 p.m. on Franklin Field.
