PHILADELPHIA - The Penn women's rowing team highlighted itsweekend at the Head of the Schuylkill with a first place finish in the Club Eight race and a fourth place finish in the Women's Heavy Championship Open Eights.
The Quakers took the Club Eight with a time of 14:08.97.The Red and Blue beat out Navy by 3.46 seconds.In the Women's Heavy the Red and Blue placed fourth with a time of 13:53.85. Navy won the racecoming in at 13:48.94.They were followed by Marist and the New York Athletic Club.Penn also finished fifthin the Women's College Freshmen/Novice Eights.They finished with a time of 15:02.97. Columbia/Barnanrdwon the race finishing at 14:32.21.
At the Princeton Chase on Sunday the Quakers raced three boats with their best finishing in 18th place at 16:20.The final two boats placed 24th and 37th.The Red and Blue edged out Syracuse and Harvard.
