PHILADELPHIA - Junior midfielder Natalie Capuano has been named to the National Elite Team of the Week. It is the first such honor for a Penn player this season.

Capuano -- a second-year captain who spent time with the U.S. Under-21 National Team during the spring and summer -- was honored for her play in Penn's 1-0 overtime win against Princeton Saturday night. The Quakers not only held Princeton without a goal, but the Tigers were unable to put any shots on goal and left Penn goalkeeper Sara Rose without a save. Princeton entered the contest leading the Ivy League in scoring in conference play, at more than two goals per game.

Penn's win Saturday night clinched the Quakers' second Ivy League title (the other came in 2001); a day later, Yale defeated Brown, clinching the Ivy's automatic NCAA College Cup bid for the Quakers (12-3-1, 5-1-0 Ivy).

Penn will complete its regular season Saturday at Harvard; kickoff at Ohiri Field is slated for 1:30 p.m.
