FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.--Senior Jesse Carlin clocked a time of 2:07.54 in the 800 to advance to Saturday's final at the NCAA Championship. The distance medley relay finishedseventh with a time of 11:14.97 and earned All-America honors.
Carlin finished third in her heat and with the eighth-best time overall. The top two finishers from each heat and the next four best times from either heat advance to the finals, scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET. Latavia Thomas of LSU ran the fastest heat time at 2:06.30
Carlin also competed in the third leg of the distance medley relay. Seniors Claire Kim and Shaunee Morgan preceded her while Stacy Kim took the anchor leg. It is the first All-America honor for all four team members.
Tennessee edged Michigan for the top time of 11:01.97.
