Christian Barreiro Earns Soccer Six Honors

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia SoccerSix weekly awards have been announced, and Penn sophomore Christian Barreiro has received co-player of the week honors along with Temple's J.T. Noone. It marks the first Soccer Seven honor for a Penn player this season.

Barreiro was honored following his two-goal performance last week against Lehigh, leading the Quakers to the 2-0 win over the Mountain Hawks.

Barreiro is Penn's leading scorer and second among Soccer Six players with six goals and two assists for 14 points.

The Philadelphia Soccer Six is made up of the following programs: Penn, Drexel, La Salle, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Villanova.

Penn (4-4-3, 0-1-1 Ivy) is in action tonight at American, then hosts Dartmouth Saturday night in the second half of an Ivy League doubleheader with the Quaker women.
