PHILADELPHIA – Senior co-captain Nina Corcoran picked up right where she left off for the University of Pennsylvania women’s lacrosse team, scoring two goals and adding four assists in Penn’s opener to earn Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Corcoran’s six points helped the No. 13 Quakers knock off Delaware, 12-10, to begin the 2016 season. One point away from equaling her career high, Corcoran scored two of Penn’s first three goals before assisting on four of the final nine scored by the Red and Blue.

The Offensive Player of the Week honor is the second of Corcoran’s career. On March 2, 2015, she was earned the honor after a similar two-goal, four assist outing against Vanderbilt.

Corcoran and the Quakers take on their first top-ten opponent of the season on Sunday when they visit No. 10 Duke at 12 p.m.
