PHILADELPHIA – On October 29, University of Pennsylvania field hockey player Emily Corcoran was one of 38 seniors across the country selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game, to take place on Saturday Nov. 22 at the University of Maryland.
The game is to be held the day between the national semifinals and championship game, which occur Nov. 21 and Nov. 23. Corcoran is one of three players from the Ivy League selected to play in the game.
The senior forward finished the 2014 season with nine goals andsix assists for 24 points in 17 games. Over her career she has amassed 26 goals, and 21 assists –tied for secondall-time at Penn – in 68 games played.
The selection marks the first time a Quaker has played in the Senior Game since 2004, when Liz Lorelli played in the game hosted at Wake Forest.
