Corrinne Wright Named Assistant Gymnastics Coach

PHILADELPHIA - Penn's head gymnastics coach John Ceralde is pleased to announce Corrinne Wright as his new assistant coach for the 2009-10 season. She will be taking the place of Jessy Smith who was on Ceralde's staff for three seasons.

An accomplished gymnast, Corrinne was a member of the 1985 and 1986 US National Team, as well as a standout at the University of Georgia. During her collegiate career she was a nine-time All-American, an NCAA champion in the all-around and floor, as well as a member of the Bulldogs' 1987 and 1989 NCAA national championship teams. In 2005 she was inducted into the University of Georgia's Circle of Honor.

Corrinne coached at Star Bound Academy in Upper Deerfield, N.J., and prior to moving into collegiate coaching she was a collegiate athletic administrator for ten years.

Corrinne holds a degree in law from New York Law School. She is originally from Mount Vernon, N.Y., and now resides in Galloway, N.J.
