More than 50 collegiate teams will be participating in the event this weekend.

Along with providing the Quakers with a competitive meet, the Princeton Invitational will prove beneficial to the Red and Blue since the squads are set to race there again in just two weeks for Heps. The opportunity to familiarize themselves with the course prior to Heps gives the Red and Blue an advantage of figuring out the most effective methods to race on the course.
Two weeks ago, Penn competed in two separate races. Select Quakers from the men’s and women’s teams flew to South Bend to participate in the Notre Dame Invitational. Junior captain Thomas Awad finished fourth overall and was honored as HepsTrack.com’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance. Sophomore Ashley Montgomery finished first for the women, placing 55th.
The rest of the Red and Blue contended in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. Junior Brendan Smith and freshman Hailey Dougherty were the first runners from Penn to cross the finish line in their respective races.
