Cuff Named Ivy Pitcher of the Week for Baseball

PHILADELPHIA – Earning his first victory of the season versus Lafayette on Sunday, senior right-handed pitcher Connor Cuff was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week for his complete game performance against the Leopards.

Cuff worked 7.0 innings in game one of two this past Sunday, scattering five hits and allowing just one unearned run, while striking out five.

In three starts this season, Cuff (1-1) has thrown 18.0 innings, allowing four runs – two earned, while striking out nine. He leads the Quakers and the Ivy League with a 1.00 ERA.

Taking on Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic, the Quakers will begin Ivy League play this weekend hosting Harvard and Dartmouth at Meiklejohn Stadium, Saturday and Sunday. Penn will play doubleheader’s both days beginning at 12 p.m.
