Suffering an early season injury, Bonincontri gradually started adding events back into her meet repertoire, starting with bars on Feb. 20, then bars, beam, and floor last Sunday. The return of the freshman had a huge impact on Penn's overall score at the Ivy Classic, as the Quakers recorded its highest mark of the season (189.550) and a third-place finish.
Leading the way for Penn, Bonincontri stood atop the podium with Cornell's Bethany Neczypor, scoring a 9.675 on bars, as well as earning a 9.700 on beam for the individual bronze.
She also contributed to Penn's best collective floor score all year (47.825), earning a team second-best 9.650 in her first floor routine of the season.
