Danley Named Academic All-District

PHILADELPHIA -- Steve Danley, a junior forward on the University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team, has been named to the CoSIDA/ ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team. Danley was a first-team honoree in District II; as a first-team honoree, he now moves on to the national ballot for Academic All-America.

The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and All-America Teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Danley -- an honorable mention All-Ivy selection a year ago -- has started all 17 games that he has played this season, and is tied for third in team scoring (10.1 ppg) and is second in rebounding (5.6 rpg). He currently leads the Ivy League with a 1.86 assist/turnover ratio, and is third in the conference in assists per game (3.06).
