Pottruck has also been serving as a guest lecturer at the Wharton School's San Francisco campus, a role which he credits as serving for the impetus for his latest book.
"My new book grew out of my role as an educator," Pottruck said. "Teaching at Wharton made it even more clear to me that transformational, risky breakthrough change is critically important in today's world and even more challenging to successfully accomplish. Now more than ever, we need to understand how successful breakthrough change happens."
Alex Trirapelle, the Roger Reina Head Coach of Wrestling at the University of Pennsylvania is proud to have an alum of Pottruck's standing as part of his program.
"Dave epitomizes the excellence we continue to strive for at Penn.," Tirapelle said. "He is a lifelong learner, an accomplished athlete, and an extremely successful professional. Now he's sharing experiences from his 20+ year career with Charles Schwab -- including his time as CEO -- with the next generation to empower them to lead future breakthrough change. To top it off, the proceeds from Dave's book are earmarked for charity. We're very proud to call Dave a member of the Penn Wrestling family."
