DeLuca Named Preseason All-American

PHILADELPHIA--Junior Ali DeLuca was one of 20 women’s lacrosse players to be named to’s preseason All-America list. Penn and Princeton were the only Ivy schools to receive the honor.

DeLuca has been a leader both offensively and defensively and is the Quakers’ top returning scorer with 26 goals and 14 assists last season. She is known for her outstanding athleticism and unpredictable play. Away from the attack, De Luca wona team-best 40 draw controls and causing a team-high26 turnovers last season.

DeLuca and the Quakers start the 2009 slate with a home game against neighboring Drexel, Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.
