DeLuca Named to U.S. Developmental Team

PHILADELPHIA - Rising sophomore Ali DeLuca of the Penn women's lacrosse team has been named to the United States Developmental Team, US Lacrosse announced Monday.

DeLuca is one of 24 players on the Developmental team, and one of just three who just finished their freshman seasons. DeLuca was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year after scoring 34 goals and 8 assists to help Penn to the League title and the NCAA Final Four.

The U.S. Developmental team feeds the 24-member Elite team. The next activity for the U.S. teams will be the Stars & Stripes Weekend, to be held in Portland, Ore. in October. The weekend will feature competition against the University of California, the University of Oregon and Stanford University.
