PHILADELPHIA – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has announced the rosters for this year’s Division I/II North-South Game, and the South team will include University of Pennsylvania senior attackman Nick Doktor. The 75th USILA/Nike North South Game will be played ahead of Championship Weekend on Friday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m. Cabrini College will once again host the game on its campus in Radnor, Pa.
Doktor was named second-team All-Ivy on attack for the second-straight year. In a year where the Ivy League boasted some of the top attackmen in the nation, Doktor received his honor after leading the Quakers in scoring with 48 points (14g, 34a). His 34 assists were sixth on Penn’s single-season list. Doktor -- who recorded a point in all but two games this year and had 12 multi-point outings -- finished his career fourth on Penn’s all-time assists list (93) and seventh on the all-time points list (163). He was selected by the Charlotte Hounds in the second round of the 2016 Major League Lacrosse Draft, the highest selection ever for a Penn player.
Penn has been represented in every USILA North-South Game dating back to 1996, and 46 of the 75 games overall.
Penn finished the regular season 8-7 overall -- six of the losses coming to teams that ended the year ranked in the USILA’s final national poll -- and went 4-2 in Ivy League play for the third time in the last six years after doing so just once from 1990-2010. The Quakers advanced to the Ivy League Tournament, but fell to Yale in the semifinal round.
