Feeney Named Co-Ivy League Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly awards in men's lacrosse, and University of Pennsylvania senior goalie Brian Feeney has been named the co-Ivy League Player of the Week for his efforts at Yale on Saturday. He shares the honor with Brown goalie Jack Kelly.

Feeney, who earned the award once last year and also was the first-team All-Ivy goalie last season, made 13 saves in Penn's 6-5 win at then-No. 11 Yale on Saturday. It was the Quakers' first win at Yale since 2008, and improved them to 4-3 overall, 1-2 in Ivy League play this season.

Penn, which is ranked 15th in this week's USILA national coaches poll, hosts Brown on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Franklin Field.
