Fencing Finishes Day One at Ivy Round-Robins

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After the completion of day one at the Ivy League Fencing Round-Robins in Columbia’s Levien Gymnasium, the University of Pennsylvania No. 7 men’s fencing team remains undefeated at 2-0 while the No. 8 women are 2-1. Both squads will fence Princeton, Yale, and Columbia tomorrow, starting with the Tigers at 10:00 a.m. A complete recap for both teams will follow with the conclusion of the event on Monday.

Freshman John Vaiani remains as the only Quaker with a perfect record, having gone 3-0 against Brown and Harvard. Senior captains Luona Wang and Sarah Parmacek lead the women, each sporting a 6-2 record after three rounds. Wang went a perfect 3-0 against Brown and Cornell, while Parmacek went 3-0 against Harvard.
