PHILADELPIHA – South the University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s fencing teams will go, as the Quakers are set to fence in the 2015 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Fencing Championship. Hosted by Duke on Saturday at Card Gym, bouting is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Once there, the Red and Blue will look to advance fencers to compete at the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Fencing Championship.

Including Penn, a total of four ranked teams on the CollegeFencing360.com coaches poll will compete in the event. On the men’s side, the No. 7 Quakers will see No. 1 Penn State, No. 8 Princeton and No. 9 Duke while the No. 8 women will bout No. 3 Princeton, No. 6 Penn State, and No. 10 Temple.
The Red and Blue will send 12 men and nine women. Regionals will count for 60% of the selection to the NCAA Championships, while the other 40 comes from the regular season.
