Field Hockey's Schneck Named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – University of Pennsylvania freshman Alexa Schneck (Reading, Pa.) has been selected as the Ivy League co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Schneck tallied the double-overtime, game-winner against Dartmouth on Friday to help the Quakers to a 1-0 win against the Big Green in Hanover, N.H. The tally was the second of her career and also the second game-winner for the rookie this season: she repeated the feat against LIU-Brooklyn on Sept. 9th.

For the season, Schneck has started in all 11 games and has played over 703 minutes on the pitch for the Red and Blue. She helped the Quakers move to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play this past weekend with her performances.

Penn returns to action this coming Friday, Oct. 14th when they host the Columbia Lions at Ellen Vagelos Field. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
