Field Hockey Falls at Lafayette, 3-0

EASTON, Pa. - The Penn field hockey team fell at Lafayette Wednesday night, 3-0. TheLeopards improved to 3-5 with the victory, while theQuakers fell to 1-6 overall.

Lafayette got on the board in the 23rd minute when Deanna DiCroce finished a rebound of a Cara Lyons shot off a breakaway. Meghan Cicchi doubled that lead early in the second half with a goal off a penalty corner, with assists going to DiCroce and Emily Valeo. Lyons closed out the scoring in the 51st minute.

Penn put four shots on the Lafayette cage, three of them by Julie Tahan and one by Sarah Hasson. Tahan had the only shot on goal, forcing Kelsey Andersen to make the save.

Kieran Sweeney had five saves for the Quakers.

Penn is back in action with Ivy League play on Saturday, traveling to Hanover, N.H. to play Dartmouth College. That game is scheduled to start at noon.
