Field Hockey Names Kelsey Boyce Assistant Coach

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s head field hockey coach, Collen Fink, has announced the hiring of Kelsey Boyce as an assistant coach.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelsey to our coaching staff,” said Fink. “Kelsey is eager to begin her coaching career and is devoted in pursuing her passion long term. It is my goal to have her first experience coaching be a successful and positive one. She will bring great knowledge of goalkeeping specifics, and will be an additional resource when preparing the overall defensive unit.”

Boyce recently graduated from the University of Iowa, where a season ago she logged over 1,300 minutes in goal, appearing in all 20 games, while starting 18 for the Hawkeyes. She recorded a 12-8 record and posted a 1.63 goals against average, with four shutouts.

During her time at Iowa, Boyce also was a member of the USA National Indoor Field Hockey team, and the USA Midwest Regional team.

Boyce – a Califon, N.J. native and played her high school field hockey at Voorhes – graduated from Iowa with a degree in English and Communication studies.
