Field Hockey Plays Brown on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – The Penn field hockey will play its last home game Sunday at 1 p.m. on Franklin Field. The Quakers will host the Brown Bears for senior day and Penn will be graduating six seniors: Meredith Moran, Rachel Eng, Alanna Butera, Sara Cherico, Margaretha Ehret and Christina Ferrier. The Quakers enter the game with a 5-10 record and are 3-2 in Ancient Eight play. Brown is currently 4-11 and 0-5 in Ivy games.

The Red and Blue have played the Bears 31 times in program history and Penn owns the all-time series, 21-7-3. In last year’s matchup Penn dominated at Brown to win, 4-1.

Penn features a balanced scoring attack led by two seniors, Eng and Ehret. Eng leads the Quakers in goals with eight, while Ehret has seven. Eng has scored five goals in the past three games, including all game-winners in Penn’s three-game winning streak.

Brown is led by Abigail Taft who has seven goals this season. Goalie Lauren Kessler has recorded 89 saves for a .736 save percentage.
