2005 Dartfish/NFHCA All-Americans

PHILADELPHIA – Senior field hockey player Lea Salese was named second-team Dartfish/NFHCA All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday morning. Salese is the 11th Quaker to garner field hockey All-America honors and the first since Liz Lorelli in 2003.

Salese, a midfielder, scored eight goals and had three assists for the Red and Blue this season. She led the Ancient Eight in game-winning goals with five. The Livingston, N.J. native is a three-time All-Ivy League selection and two-time first-team recipient. She received first-team 2005 Dartfish/NFHCA All-Regional honors in 2004 and 2005.

She started in all 69 games in her career and tallied 16 career goals, 15 assists and 47 points.

Only two Ivy League players were named All-America, Princeton’s Paige Schmidt was a third-team honoree.
