PHILADELPHIA - It took nearly three years for the Class of 2013 to lose an Ivy League contest. On Monday, the University of Pennsylvania football team officially announced the 26 newest Quakers in the Class of 2016, which will have a chance to make its own mark on the history of one of college football's winningest programs.

A full breakdown of the Class of 2016, including individual bios and video highlights can be found below. Above is a full, interactive geographical breakdown of the incoming class.

"We are always searching for kids who are not only dynamic playmakers on the football field, but skilled in the classroom as well," said Penn's George A. Munger Head Coach of Football, Al Bagnoli. "Our coaching staff has done another tremendous job of identifying 26 individuals that our program and our University can be proud of. We are excited to get them on campus and to start working toward another championship."

In Bagnoli's 20th recruiting class, 11 incoming freshmen will join the offense - four linemen, three wide receivers, two quarterbacks, a running back and a tight end - and 14 will become a part of Ray Priore's defensive unit - five defensive linemen, five defensive backs and four linebackers. In addition, New Albany High School product, Jimmy Gammill, who finished his career ranked 12th in Ohio state history in kicking points, will be added among Penn's specialists.

The 26 incoming freshmen hail from a total of 15 different states, led by four apiece from distant California and neighboring New Jersey. Ryan Kelly and Andrew Lisa will have the shortest trips to the West Philadelphia campus. Kelly is a product of Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pa., while Lisa's hometown of Moorestown, N.J., is just on the other side of the Delaware River. The four Southern California recruits, along with Lake Oswego, Ore., native, Alex Matthews, will travel the furthest to reach their teammates on the East Coast.

In 17 of the previous 19 recruiting classes under Bagnoli - owner of more outright Ivy titles (eight) than any coach in history - the unit has left with a minimum of one Ivy League championship ring. The next two graduating classes, 2013 and 2014, didn't have to wait long for theirs as they each won the Ivy title just four months after stepping on campus.

Penn returns 39 letterwinners in 2012, including 17 starters and three All-Ivy honorees. Eight starters will return from the Ivies third-highest scoring offense, seven starters are back from the league's second-ranked rushing defense. Both specialists - punter Scott Lopano and kicker Connor Loftus - will also return for the Quakers.

For the program that holds the NCAA record for games played, the Quakers will officially begin their 136th season with practice in late August and the first game on Sept. 15 at Lafayette. Penn's first home game is set for a week later, Sept. 22, against cross-city rival Villanova in another edition of the Schuylkill Showdown. Game times to be announced later this summer.
