Football Earns Another National TV Game

Ivy League/Fox College Sports Release

PHILADELPHIA - Fox College Sports and the Ivy League announced another nationally televised game for the University of Pennsylvania football team on Tuesday. Fox College Sports will broadcast Penn's matchup at Brown on Nov. 2. Kickoff from Brown Stadium is still slated for 12:30 p.m.

This will be the first of at least two national TV games for the Quakers this season as the defending Ivy League champions will also be featured on NBC Sports at Harvard on Nov. 16. In addition, Penn's 27-21 win over Lafayette on Saturday was shown nationally on ESPN3.

FOX College Sports announced it will televise seven Ivy League football games in 2013. Featuring all eight Ivy League schools, the seven-game slate kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 28. This marks the seventh straight year the Quakers have appeared on national television and the fourth straight season with multiple national TV games. Since 2008, the Red and Blue have been featured nationally 13 times.

Penn's only other appearence on Fox College Sports was Oct. 1, 2011 in the first-ever night game at Dartmouth's Memorial Field. The Quakers scored the game-winning touchdown with 17 seconds left to top the Big Green, 22-20.

On Saturday, the Quakers head to the Main Line for the annual Schuylkill Showdown with Villanova. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
