Media Day Photo Gallery
PHILADELPHIA - Media Members from the local Philadelphia area and a few national media outlets gathered at Franklin Field on Monday to meet with the 2009 edition of the University of Pennsylvania football team.
As part of the annual Media Day activities, players and coaches were escorted through a series of photo shoots with a series of photographers. In between shoots, several of the Penn players answered questions and discussed the upcoming season with the media.
Though the three-hour media session came to an end before noon, the players will continue with their preseason camp on Monday with an afternoon practice, weight room workouts and several team meetings.
Penn opens its season at Franklin Field on Sept. 19 against No. 5 Villanova at 7 p.m. Many of Penn's skill players remain from the 2008 squad that finished one game behind co-Ivy League champions Brown and Harvard. The Quakers were selected to finish second in the Ivy League and are receiving votes in the FCS' Top-25 media poll.
Season and single-game tickets for Penn football are available through Penn’s website at www.PennAthletics.com. Tickets are also available at the ticket office located at Weightman Hall on 235 South 33rd Street, or by phone at 215-898-6151. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the month of August, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Sept. 2.
