PHILADELPHIA - Excitement was in the air Tuesday morning as the 2015 University of Pennsylvania football team poured into Penn Park for this year's Media Day.

As part of the annual Media Day activities, players and coaches were escorted through photo shoots with a series of photographers as well as filming for the Penn Sports Network. After the team photo, the players are separated into photos based on region, class year and position. In between shoots, the Penn players and coaches answered questions from the media and discussed the upcoming season.

Though the three-hour media session came to an end around 10 a.m., the players will continue with their preseason camp on Tuesday with weight room workouts, several team meetings and a practice under the lights at Franklin Field.

The preseason gathering is Coach Priore's first Media Day as head coach of the Quakers.

Coach Ray Priore officially took over as the 22nd George A. Munger Head Coach of Football at Penn on Dec. 1, 2014. Priore came to Penn in 1987, and served as defensive coordinator for the previous 16 seasons.

The Quakers, who were picked to finish sixth in the Ivy League Preseason Media poll, open their 139th season on the road when they visit in-state rival Lehigh for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 19. That matchup renews a rivalry between the two schools that started in 1885, and will be the first contest between the Quakers and Mountain Hawks since 2003.

Fans can purchase season and individual tickets online at PennAthletics.com or by clicking here. Tickets are also available at the ticket office located at Weightman Hall on 235 South 33rd Street or by phone at 215-898-6151. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
