With the 133rd season of Quaker football fast approaching, season tickets are currently on sale and single-game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. In less than two months, Penn will host Villanova in its season and home opener at Franklin Field on Sept. 19. 2009 Red & Blue Chairback season tickets are just $80. Plan holders will also recieve a 2009 Penn football media guide, access to the ticket exchange program, a Franklin Field Illustrated game program at each home game and an E-newsletter with discounts on additional tickets and merchandise. You get your tickets and these additional benefits at a price that is 45 percent of the regular price. New this year, season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase parking in a designated reserved lot.
Penn also offers a general admission season ticket for $25 to Penn alums who have graduated in the past five years (2005-09). Single-game tickets start as low as $8.
Fans are encouraged to come early to each home game to enjoy Quaker’s Corner. This interactive fan zone gives the Penn faithful an opportunity to join their fellow fans for music, complimentary toast for the traditional toss at the end of the third quarter, temporary tattoos, merchandise, concessions, the Helmet Car, posters and pocket schedules, and of course, Quaker himself will be there to greet you.
Fans can purchase season tickets online at PennAthletics.com. Tickets are also available at the ticket office located at Weightman Hall on 235 South 33rd Street or by phone at 215-898-6151. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during August and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Sept. 8.
Following Penn’s matchup with the Wildcats, the Quakers will host four more at Franklin Field beginning with Bucknell coming to Philadelphia on Oct. 10. Yale will then visit on Oct. 24, followed by the homecoming game against Princeton on Nov. 7. In the 2009 home finale on Nov. 21, Penn will welcome Cornell. All home game times are TBA.
