PHILADELPHIA, Pa. With the 132nd season of Penn football fast approaching, season and single-game tickets for all five of Penn's home contests will go on sale Wednesday, August 6 at 10 a.m.
In less than two months, on Sept. 20, the Quakers will host Villanova in their home opener at Franklin Field. Kickoff in what has become a fierce city rivalry is set for 3:30 p.m.
2008 Red & Blue Chairback season tickets are just $80, a 20-percent discount off the single-game ticket prices. Plan holders will also receive a miniature replica of Franklin Field, a 2008 Penn football media guide, access to the ticket exchange program, a Franklin Field Illustrated game program at each home game, and an E-newsletter with discounts on additional tickets and merchandise.
Beginning this year, Penn is also offering a general admission season ticket for $25 to Penn alums who have graduated in the past five years (2004-08). Single-game tickets start as low as $8.
Fans are encouraged to come early to each home game to enjoy Quaker’s Corner. This interactive fan zone gives the Penn faithful an opportunity to join their fellow fans for music, inflatable games, complimentary toast for the traditional toss at the end of the third quarter, temporary tattoos, merchandise, concessions, the Helmet Car, posters and pocket schedules, and of course, Quaker himself will be there to greet you.
Starting this year, fans will now be able to purchase their season and single-game tickets online at PennAthletics.com. Tickets are also available at the ticket office located at Weightman Hall on 235 South 33rd Street, or by phone at 215-898-6151. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the month of August, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting September 2.
Following Penn’s season-opening matchup with the Wildcats, the Quakers host four more at Franklin Field. Dartmouth comes to Philadelphia on Oct. 4 for a noon start, and then Columbia visits on Oct. 18 with the kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. Penn's Homecoming game will kick off at noon against Brown on Nov. 1, and the 2008 home finale comes Nov. 15 when the Quakers welcome defending Ivy League champion Harvard with a noon kickoff.
