Two former University of Pennsylvania track and field athletes are among the top in the nation in their respecitve events. Leading that list is Sam Burley, a three-time All-American and 2003 NCAA Champion in the 800m. He is tops in the USA and third in the world in the 800m.
Burley is the third fastest performerin the world indoors in the 800m with a time of 1:46.63. His mark is also the fastest by an American. Only Yuriy Borzakovskiy of Russia and Wilfred Bungei of Kenya have faster times.
Tuan Wreh a six-time Heptagonal Champion in the jumps, and indoor and outdoor program record holder in the triplejumpis the 20th best performer in the triple jump. Wreh, who is competing for Liberia, hasjumped 16.6m this year.
