PHILADELPHIA - A quartet of fencers from the women's fencing team will compete at the NCAA National Championships, March 25-28 at Harvard University as announced by NCAA on Tuesday.
Juniors Danielle Kamis and Stephanie Wheeler, sophomore Dominika Franciszkowicz and freshman Aida Abdikulova were all officially selected to the Championships for their performances at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals last weekend.
Seeded eighth, Kamis finished sixth in sabre, while Franciszkowicz earned a ninth place finish. Wheeler also took ninth, as she competed in epee. The most impressive performance of the day came from Abdikulova who was seeded 16th in foil, but ended up finishing eighth.
Kamis will be making her third straight NCAA appearance, while Franciszkowicz and Wheeler will both be making their second trip.
