Saturday night marks the fourth Annual Penn Football Community Night at Franklin Field when the Penn Quakers take on cross-town rival Villanova at 7 p.m. Penn Athletics is hoping that the local community will take this opportunity to help hurricane victims in Gulf Coast communities.
Fans coming to the game are asked to bring non-perishable food items such as canned goods and other packaged foods, as well as toiletries (tooth brushes, shampoo, tooth paste, soap, etc.). Collection barrels will be located at each entrance to the stadium and fans will be able to deposit their donations as they enter Franklin Field.
The Red & Blue enter the game with a record of 1-0 after a 41-14 victory a week ago against Duquesne at Franklin Field. Villanova is 1-1 following a 38-20 win against Northeastern. Last year, Villanova escaped with a 16-13 victory against the Quakers at Franklin Field.
