PHILADELPHIA -A pair of Penn athletes were among those chosen nationally as Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Award winners, which were announced recently by "Diverse Issues in Higher Education."
Men's soccer player Ryan Tracy was a third-team honoree in his sport, while women's basketball playerKimberly Franklinwas a fourth-team selection in her sport.

Tracy finished the 2006 men's soccer season with four goals and two assists, and earned honorable mention All-Ivy. A CoSIDA Academic All-District selection last fall, Tracy started every match last fall and tied for the team lead in goals. He helped the Quakers finish second in the Ivy League at 5-1-1, and compile a 9-4-2 record overall.
Franklin appeared in 22 of Penn's 27 games in 2006-07, averaging 1.2 points and 0.7 rebounds per game. She helped the Quakers go 12-15 overall and finish fourth in the Ivy League at 7-7.
