Freshmen Third at Rutgers Fall Classic

NEW BRUNSICK, N.J. -Penn's freshmen crews had the waters to themselves on Saturday, comepting in the Rutgers Fall Classic on the Raritan River. In a regatta where crews comepte individually and the top two combined times for each school accounts for the team results, Penn finished third out of the eight competing programs.

The Red and Blue's 'B' entry was fourth overall, finishing in 14:39. The 'A' boat was the next finishing, taking fifth in 14:58. Overall, Penn's time of 29:37 was third, just one second away from second.

Navy was the overall winner, with a combined time of 28:50. The Midshipmen had the first boat to cross the line, its 'A' boat winning in 14:230. Navy's 'B' boat was third in 14:30 to secure the overall win.
