STATE COLLEGE, Pa.--Two 9.600 scores topped the Penn gymnastics team's marks on the day with Sarah Parsons on beam and Laura DiPaoloon vault leading the team. As a team, the Quakers were fourth with a score of 185.425.
Starting on vault, DiPaolo continued to lead the Quaker vault team with a 9.600 which was good for ninth overall.
On bars, DiPaolo finished seventh overall with a 9.550 on bars. Elise Bowe also turned in a solid 9.450.
Penn got a scare when senior standout Jordan Brewer fell and clipped her shin on the bar. The Quakers' top all-arounder this season powered through, despite sustaining a deep cuton bars, and competed on beam and floor. She turned in the second highest beam score at 9.550 and scored a 9.300 on floor.
Senior Sarah Parsons once again led the Quaker beam team with a 9.600 and performed her second floor routine scoring a 9.025.
Newcomer Katie Graham scored a 9.500 on beam and 9.425--Penn's high scoreon floor.
The Quakers are home for Valentine's Day hosting Ursinus, West Chester and Southern Connecticut on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
