NEW HAVEN, Conn.--The Penn gymnastics team saw solid contributions from freshmen Laura DiPaolo and Rebecca Engberg while senior Jordan Brewer finished second overall in the all-around. The Quakers took third place with a score of 187.325.
Brewer scored 38.075 in the all-around to take second while Engberg was Penn's other all-arounder in the meet and took fifth with a score of 37.525, her highest of the season.
Brewer's best event of the day was floor with a 9.650. Engberg was strongest on bars with a score of 9.600 that bestest her previous best by nearly four tenths.
Also putting up her best scores of the season was Lizzie Lowe on bars with a 9.700 and third place overall.
On vault, DiPaolo took third with 9.675 while Brewer came in fourth at 9.600. Brewer also took third on the beam.
Coming in ahead of the Quakers and claiming its second consecutive Ivy title was Cornell with 190.800. Brown was second with 188.400 and Yale was fourth with 185.200.
The Quakers nexttravel to Centenary in Shreveport, La. on March 8. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.
