Gymnastic's Graham Advances to USAG Floor Finals

PHILADELPHIA - With a 9.750 score at the USA Gymnastics Nationals on Friday, the University of Pennsylvania will send junior captain Rachel Graham to the finals of the floor competition. Graham will be the only Quaker to compete for an individual title on Sunday, with the other nine seeing their seasons come to an end. The top 10 gymnasts in each competition advance to the finals, as well as each school sending one representitive.

All five seniors called it a career Friday night. Morgan Venuti, Emily Paterson, Amber Hu, Carissa Lim, and Elyse Shenberger all fell outside the top 10. Shenberger was denied a third bars title this season, coming up short after winning the Ivy Classic and ECAC individual crowns.

Also watching their productive seasons come to an end were Kyra Levi, Kelly Tan, Ally Podsednik, and Alex Hartke. All four and Graham will be back for the Red and Blue next season.
