PHILADELPHIA – After concluding its regular season with a dual meet win over Southern Connecticut State, the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team looks to defend its back-to-back ECAC championship titles this Saturday in Philadelphia.
Penn is coming off its two best performances of the year, where a number of individuals have set new career-high marks.
Senior Diana Moock set two career-highs in the past two meets, earning a 9.700 on beam at Illinois State on March 1, and scoring a 9.675 on bars versus SCSU on Senior Day last Saturday.
Sophomore Amber Hu set a new career-high on beam this past Saturday against the Owls, with a 9.725 performance. Freshman Kelly Tan also set a career-high on beam on Saturday, with a 9.725.
Junior Amber Woo competed in the all-around for the first time this season and recorded a 38.550, recording season-highs on bars (9.625), beam (9.700), and floor (9.725) – her first time on the event this season.
Junior Wynne Levy is coming off her best vault of the season, scoring a 9.725 against SCSU.
The ECAC championships begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Temple.
