SHREVEPORT, La.--The Penn gymnastics team scored 189.300 points but fell short of Centenary's 191.650 team score, Sunday. Sophomore Elise Bowe had career performance on beam and registered her best all-around score, 38.025, to lead the Quakers.
Bowe put up solid numbers on all four events and posted a 9.675 on beam. Freshman Laura DiPaolo's 9.750 on vaultwas the Penn's top score of the day, but several other Quakers scored 9.600 and above.
Most notably, junior Marissa Rosen scored 9.650 on bars. It was her first routine since being injured early in the season. It was the Red and Blue's high score on bars.
On floor, Bowe and Rebecca Engberg both scored 9.575 to lead Penn.
Penn will compete at Texas Women's College in Denton, Texas on Friday, March 13. Also at the meet will be Arkansas and Bowling Green State. The meet is set to begin at 7 p.m.
