Gymnastics Travels to Yale

PHILADELPHIA – The Quakers travel to New Haven, Conn. on Saturday for a dual meet against Ivy foe Yale. Competition begins at 1 pm at Yale’s John J. Lee Amphitheater. Penn enters the weekend looking for its first win of the season, following home losses to Rutgers (186.525 – 189.525) and Towson (186.425 – 192.500). The Bulldogs are coming off a first-place finish in a tri-meet they hosted last weekend against Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut.

Marissa Rosen has started the season strong for the Red and Blue, winning four individual events and one all-around through two meets in 2008. Her all-around score of 38.950 on January 12 against Rutgers tied for fifth-highest in Penn gymnastics history.

Jordan Brewer continues to lead Penn in the vault. She has posted the high score for the Quakers in both meets this season.

For Yale, sophomore Allison Mak is a strong competitor on the beam, taking first place in both meets this year.
