Harvard Too Much for Quakers


PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team lost to Harvard 204.5 - 95.5 on Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool. The Crimson outmatched Penn, winning 14 events.

Laura Hotaling (25:06) picked up the Quakers first victory in the 50-yard freestyle. Janis Scanlon (254.78) and Kenyon Lewis (233.25) combined for seven points in the 1-meter diving for the Red and Blue.

Jessica Aiello (54:05) placed first in the 100-yard freestyle for Penn's final victory on the day. Scanlon (254.63) placed second in the 3-meter diving.

The Quakers will be in action again when they travel to Boca Raton, Fla. from Dec.29 - Jan. 8 for their winter training trip.
