PHILADELPHIA--Senior goalkeeper Drew Healy received his first weekly nod from the Philadelphia Soccer Seven after inking back-to-back shutouts over the weekend. Healy was also named to the weekly Ivy League Honor Roll.
HIspair of shutouts in his team’s opening week of playwere the first in his collegiate career. The seniordid not allow a goal in 200 minutes in net, leading the Quakers to a scoreless draw against Marquette and a 2-0 win over DePaul. The record gave Penn claim to the inaugural Marquette Classic title. Healy made a pair of stops in each match, including a thrilling save on a penalty kick in the Quakers’ win over DePaul.
Healy and the Quakers are back in action at the Princeton Classic, Sept. 12 and 14 to take on Seton Hall and American, respectively.
