GREENSBORO, N.C. - Penn senior Courtney Jaworski qualified for the NCAA Championship track meet for the third straight year on Saturday at the NCAA East Regionals in Greensboro, N.C.
Jaworski ran a 1:49.30 in the 800 meter run on Friday to qualify and clocked in at 1:48.95 on Saturday to place second overall to earn the right to retain his All-American status.
Kyle Calvo, who automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in the decathlon event, had a leap of 7.57m in the long jump event to place third in his flight and to earn a spot at the championship meet as well.
Bryan Scotland was fifth in his flight in the 800 meters on Friday, running a 1:51.43, but did not qualify.
The top five student-athletes in each event and the top three relay teams automatically advance to the National Championship meet at the Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex in Sacramento, CA on June 7-10.
