PHILADELPHIA Come celebrate this Valentine’s Day at The Palestra and join the University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team in the fight against breast cancer. Penn hosts the “PinkZone” game against Yale at 7 p.m.
All ticket sale proceeds from the PinkZone game, sponsored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association (WBCA), will be donated to the Rena Rowan Breast Center at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Donations can also be made online by clicking here.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game and pink pom-poms will be given away to those in attendance.
Penn is also looking for anyone interested in donating their hair to Locks of Love as volunteers are wanted to have their hair cut at the game. Joseph Lentini will be providing the free hair cuts. If interested, please contact Marketing Assistant Julie May at email@example.com. Remember though, there are requirements to donate hair. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that makes wigs for cancer patients.
The team will also be selling pink Penn women’s basketball t-shirts at all games during the month of February.
