Kim Competes at NCAA National Championship

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Stacy Kim of the University of Pennsylvania women’s cross country team competed at the 2006 NCAA National Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., Monday. The junior finished184th witha time of 22:50.6 over the 6-kilometer course.

Kim qualified for the race after finishing in sixth place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional race, Nov. 11. She was also named to the All-Mid Atlantic region team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

During the 2006-07 season, Kim led the Quakers at the Lafayette Invitational, Heptagonals and the NCAA Regional. Penn won the Lafayette Invite, and Kim claimed the top finish with a time of 20:13.1. She earned first team All-Ivy honors after finishing sixth overall at Heps.

Stanford won the team race with 195 points, while Texas Tech’s Sally Kipyego was the fastest individual and clocked in at 20:11.1. The Ivy League was represented in the top-10 by Yale’s Lindsay Donaldson, who finished third overall in a time of 20:42.7.
