Kim Earns All-Region Honors

PHILADELPHIA--Quaker harrier Stacy Kim was named to the Division I All-Mid Atlantic Region Team, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

To be considered for the all-region team, athletes must finish in the top 25 of their region and meet NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches Association requirements.

A junior, Kim ran the 6K NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional race onNov. 11 in a time of 20:56.6 good for a sixth-place overall finish and an automatic qualification to the national race.

The 2006 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will be held Monday in Terre Haute, Ind. Stanford won the women’s national title last season with 146 points, finishing in front of Colorado (181) and Duke (185). The top individual on the women’s side was Johanna Nilsson of Northern Arizona who finished the 6K course in a time of 19:33.9.
